Belén and Javier, the people behind the club

Passionate about pickleball and committed to growing it in El Puerto de Santa María. We both speak native English, so lessons can be in English or Spanish.

We are Belén Alonso and Javier Muñoz, pickleball enthusiasts committed to promoting the sport in El Puerto de Santa María.

With solid experience in teaching and sports management, we joined forces to create El Puerto Pickleball, a club designed to make this exciting sport accessible to people of all ages and levels.

With our backgrounds in physical education and nutrition, and years of experience at clubs both in Spain and abroad, we aim to encourage an active, healthy lifestyle in our community.

Who will be teaching you

Belén Alonso

Industrial engineer and international pickleball player

I’m Belén Alonso, an industrial engineer and passionate pickleball player. After years leading international projects at Airbus and competing in pickleball tournaments in several countries, I now put my energy and experience into growing El Puerto Pickleball and bringing the sport to the whole community of El Puerto de Santa María.

Through El Puerto Pickleball, my mission is to create an inclusive, dynamic space where everyone can enjoy the physical and social benefits of pickleball, whatever their skill level or experience.

Javier Muñoz

PE teacher and strength & conditioning coach

Hi! I’m Javier. I’m a Physical Education teacher and strength and conditioning coach with more than 20 years of experience. My mission is to boost physical and mental health through pickleball, an accessible, dynamic and fast-growing sport, ideal for all ages and levels.

Mission

To offer an accessible, welcoming space for playing pickleball, encouraging players of all ages and levels to take part. Through high-quality coaching led by highly qualified professionals, we aim to promote the sport, develop technical and physical skills, and build a spirit of friendship and respect within the community.

Vision

To be the reference for pickleball in El Puerto de Santa María and the surrounding area, promoting an active, healthy lifestyle through this growing sport. We want to build an inclusive, vibrant community where people of all ages and levels can discover the joy of playing pickleball and improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
